Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup apples, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and butter.
- Add eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Fold in the diced apples and walnuts.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the loaf cool before slicing.
Notes
- Substitute gluten-free flour for a gluten-free option.
- Use applesauce instead of butter for a lower fat option.
- Try different nuts or leave them out entirely.
