Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped apples and pecans.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the cake cools, prepare the caramel glaze by melting brown sugar, cream, and butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Bring to a gentle boil, stirring continuously until thickened.
- Drizzle the warm caramel glaze over the cooled cake before serving.

- You can substitute gluten-free flour for regular flour if needed.
