Ingredients

- 1.5 lbs chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 onions, finely sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup cooking oil
- 1 tablespoon korma spice mix
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1/4 cup ground almonds
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken in yogurt and korma spice mix for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions and cook until golden brown.
- Add garlic and ginger, and cook for another minute.
- Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned.
- Stir in coconut milk and ground almonds.
- Reduce heat and let it simmer for 20-30 minutes until chicken is tender.
- Add salt to taste and garnish with fresh cilantro.
Notes
- For a milder flavor, reduce the korma spice mix.
- Substitute chicken with tofu for a vegetarian option.
- Use low-fat yogurt for a lighter version.
