Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, and water. Stir well.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring constantly. Boil for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and mix in vanilla extract, salt, and cinnamon.
  6. Pour the toffee mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Spread evenly and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Wait a few minutes for them to melt.
  9. Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the toffee.
  10. If using, sprinkle chopped nuts on top of the chocolate.
  11. Let it cool completely before breaking it into pieces.
