  • 1/3 cup butter, melted

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Add melted butter, salt, and egg to the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour, stirring until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour, until doubled in size.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread butter and sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar on top.
  7. Add raisins if desired, then roll the dough tightly into a log.
  8. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
  9. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
