- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin tin or line it with muffin liners.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, combine melted butter, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
- Fill each muffin cup halfway with batter, sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar filling, then top with more batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While muffins cool, mix powdered sugar and milk for the glaze. Drizzle over muffins.

- Use whole wheat flour for a healthier option.
- Substitute almond milk for buttermilk if needed.
- Consider adding nuts or dried fruits for extra flavor.
