  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted (for filling)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 2 tbsp milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread melted butter over it.
  7. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over the buttered dough.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and cut into 12 pieces.
  9. Place rolls in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make icing. Drizzle over warm rolls.
