Instructions
- Prepare the potatoes by peeling and dicing them into even pieces.
- Place the diced potatoes in a pot and cover with water.
- Bring the water to a boil over medium heat.
- Cook the potatoes until they are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add butter and milk to the potatoes.
- Mash the potatoes until smooth, adding salt and pepper to taste.
- If desired, mix in garlic powder or cheese for extra flavor.
