Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 celery stalk, diced
- 1 cup crab meat
- 1 cup shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cups seafood stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Sauté until softened.
- Stir in crab meat and shrimp. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add seafood stock, tomato paste, and thyme. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream. Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- You can substitute heavy cream with coconut milk for a dairy-free version.
- Use frozen shrimp and crab if fresh is not available.
- For a spicier bisque, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
