Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef or turkey in a skillet over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  2. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread a layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of the crockpot.
  4. Place 3 lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.
  5. Add half of the ricotta mixture, half of the meat, and a layer of mozzarella cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers: sauce, noodles, ricotta, meat, and mozzarella.
  7. Finish with sauce and top with Parmesan cheese.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until noodles are tender.
  9. Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.
