Description

A comforting crockpot dish featuring pierogi and kielbasa.


Ingredients

  • 1 package pierogi (16 oz)
  • 1 lb kielbasa, sliced
  • 2 cups sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Layer half of the pierogi in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Add half of the kielbasa slices on top.
  3. Spread half of the sauerkraut over the kielbasa.
  4. Sprinkle half of the chopped onion over the sauerkraut.
  5. Layer half of the cheese on top.
  6. In a bowl, mix sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, and garlic powder.
  7. Pour half of this mixture over the cheese layer.
  8. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  9. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.

Notes

  • Feel free to use turkey kielbasa for a lighter option.
  • Substitute gluten-free pierogi if needed.
  • Add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for extra nutrition.
