A delicious and easy-to-make crunch roll sushi bowl that brings the flavors of sushi to your home in a simple dish.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 1 cup imitation crab meat, shredded
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional)
  • 1/4 cup crunchy tempura flakes
  • Soy sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Rinse sushi rice under cold water until water runs clear.
  2. Combine rinsed rice and water in a rice cooker. Cook according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. In a small saucepan, heat rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved. Set aside.
  4. Once rice is cooked, transfer to a large bowl. Pour vinegar mixture over rice and gently fold to combine.
  5. Let rice cool to room temperature.
  6. In a bowl, mix shredded crab meat, mayonnaise, and sriracha if using.
  7. To assemble, place a scoop of rice in a bowl. Top with avocado, cucumber, carrot, and crab mixture.
  8. Sprinkle crunchy tempura flakes on top.
  9. Serve with soy sauce on the side.
