Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic.
  4. Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the Parmesan cheese.
  6. In a baking dish, layer noodles, meat sauce, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese.
  7. Repeat layers, finishing with mozzarella and remaining Parmesan on top.
  8. Bake for 30-40 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
