- 4 cups of sliced apples
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 package of pie crusts (or make your own)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
- Place one pie crust in a pie dish.
- Pour the apple mixture into the crust and dot with butter.
- Cover with the second pie crust and seal the edges.
- Cut slits in the top crust for steam to escape.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
- Let it cool before serving.
Notes
- You can use any variety of apples you like.
- For a lower sugar option, substitute with a sugar alternative.
- Vegetarian butter can replace regular butter if needed.
