Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme), optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Rinse the chicken and pat it dry with paper towels.
  3. Rub the olive oil all over the chicken.
  4. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. Place lemon halves and herbs inside the cavity of the chicken.
  6. Place the chicken in a roasting pan.
  7. Roast in the oven for about 1 hour and 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  8. Let the chicken rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.
