- 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add chopped cabbage and cook for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the cabbage, followed by half of the cheese.
- In a bowl, mix heavy cream, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Pour half over the cabbage and cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cabbage, cheese, and cream mixture.
- Dot the top with butter.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
Notes
- For a lighter version, you can use low-fat milk instead of cream.
- Try adding cooked bacon or ham for extra flavor.
- Use dairy-free cheese and milk for a vegan option.
