Ingredients

- 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced thin
- 1 cup jasmine rice
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup bell pepper, sliced
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water. Combine rice and water in a pot. Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce heat. Cook for 15 minutes.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger. Sauté for 1 minute.
- Add sliced beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in soy sauce and brown sugar. Mix well.
- Add broccoli and bell pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes until vegetables are tender.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and serve beef mixture over rice.
Notes
- Substitute beef with chicken or tofu for a different protein.
- Use cauliflower rice for a low-carb option.
- Adjust the sugar based on your taste preference.
