Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in milk, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  5. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  10. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled loaf.
