Description
A delightful twist on traditional deviled eggs, these jalapeno popper deviled eggs bring a spicy kick to your appetizer table.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 jalapenos, seeded and finely chopped
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons crispy bacon bits
Instructions
- Hard boil the eggs. Place eggs in a pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, cover and remove from heat. Let sit for 12 minutes.
- Cool the eggs. Place eggs in cold water to stop cooking. Peel once cool.
- Slice the eggs in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and place in a bowl.
- Add mayonnaise, mustard, salt, pepper, jalapenos, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and bacon bits to the yolks. Mix until smooth.
- Fill the egg whites with the yolk mixture. You can use a spoon or a piping bag for a neat presentation.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute Greek yogurt for mayonnaise for a healthier option.
- For a milder flavor, use fewer jalapenos or leave them out entirely.
- Vegetarians can skip the bacon or replace it with cooked mushrooms.
