Description

A delightful twist on traditional deviled eggs, these jalapeno popper deviled eggs bring a spicy kick to your appetizer table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 jalapenos, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons crispy bacon bits

Instructions

  1. Hard boil the eggs. Place eggs in a pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, cover and remove from heat. Let sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Cool the eggs. Place eggs in cold water to stop cooking. Peel once cool.
  3. Slice the eggs in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and place in a bowl.
  4. Add mayonnaise, mustard, salt, pepper, jalapenos, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and bacon bits to the yolks. Mix until smooth.
  5. Fill the egg whites with the yolk mixture. You can use a spoon or a piping bag for a neat presentation.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute Greek yogurt for mayonnaise for a healthier option.
  • For a milder flavor, use fewer jalapenos or leave them out entirely.
  • Vegetarians can skip the bacon or replace it with cooked mushrooms.
