Description
A comforting dish of minced beef tucumanas served with chimichurri sauce, perfect for sharing with family.
Ingredients

- 500g minced beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 large empanada dough discs
- For chimichurri:
- 1 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
- Add minced beef, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Place a spoonful of beef mixture on each dough disc.
- Fold and seal the edges with a fork.
- Place on a baking tray and bake for 25 minutes until golden.
- For chimichurri, mix all ingredients in a bowl.
- Serve tucumanas hot with chimichurri on the side.
Notes
- Substitute minced turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- Use gluten-free dough for dietary restrictions.
- Chimichurri can be made ahead and stored in the fridge.
