Description

A delightful recipe for minced crocodile sausage rolls that are easy to prepare and comforting to eat.


Ingredients

  • 500g minced crocodile meat
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pack of puff pastry
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a large bowl, combine minced crocodile meat, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
  4. Cut the pastry into rectangles, about 10cm x 15cm.
  5. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture on one end of each pastry rectangle.
  6. Fold the pastry over the filling and seal the edges by pressing down with a fork.
  7. Place the rolls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  8. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  9. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.

  • For a vegetarian option, use a mix of mushrooms and lentils.
