Description

Delicious pecan butter tart squares that are easy to make.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, butter, and brown sugar until crumbly.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a lined baking dish.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
  5. In another bowl, combine corn syrup, eggs, vanilla, and salt.
  6. Stir in pecans.
  7. Pour the pecan mixture over the baked crust.
  8. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until set.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For gluten-free, use almond flour.
  • For vegan, substitute butter with coconut oil and eggs with flax eggs.
