Ingredients

- 2 cups pumpkin puree
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, brown sugar, and milk.
- Add melted butter, chopped pecans, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix water and additional brown sugar. Pour this over the batter.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Substitute almond milk for a dairy-free option.
- Use maple syrup in place of brown sugar for a different flavor.
- For a nut-free version, omit pecans.
