Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion is soft.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- If desired, sprinkle cheese on top and cover until melted.
- Serve warm with your choice of bread or rice.
