- 6 cups of sliced apples (about 6 medium apples)
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 package of refrigerated pie crusts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
- Roll out one pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie pan.
- Spoon the apple mixture into the crust and dot with butter.
- Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the filling. Seal the edges.
- Cut slits in the top crust for steam to escape.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the apples are tender and the crust is golden brown.
- Let it cool before serving.
Notes
- Use any variety of apples you like. Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well.
- For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free pie crusts.
- Adjust sugar according to the sweetness of your apples.
