A comforting and easy-to-make sloppy joe grilled cheese sandwich.
Ingredients

- 1 cup ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 4 slices of bread
- 4 slices of cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is soft.
- Drain excess fat and stir in ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- In another skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Place two slices of bread in the skillet and add cheese on top.
- Add a generous amount of the sloppy joe mixture over the cheese.
- Top with the remaining cheese and slices of bread.
- Cook until the bottom is golden, then flip and cook until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from heat, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
- You can use ground turkey or plant-based meat for a lighter option.
- Try different types of cheese like cheddar or pepper jack for more flavor.
- For a healthier version, use whole grain bread.
- Add bell peppers or mushrooms to the beef mixture for extra veggies.
