  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, sour cream, and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. If using, fold in the nuts.
  7. Pour half of the batter into a greased 9×13 inch pan.
  8. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon topping over the batter.
  9. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon mixture.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Allow to cool before serving.
