Ingredients
Scale
- 2 steaks (your choice of cut, about 1 inch thick)
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (optional, like rosemary or thyme)
Instructions

- In a bowl, toss the cubed potatoes with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- While the potatoes are roasting, season the steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little olive oil.
- Cook the steaks for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium rare, or adjust to your preference.
- Let the steaks rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve the sliced steak alongside the roasted potatoes.
Notes
- You can use sweet potatoes instead of regular potatoes for a healthier option.
- Consider using a leaner cut of steak for a lower fat content.
- Feel free to add vegetables like carrots or green beans to the roasting pan.
