Description

A simple and delicious stir-fried steak recipe with a Chinese twist.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef steak, sliced thinly
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce and cornstarch. Add steak and marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add steak and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add bell pepper, onion, garlic, and ginger to the pan. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Return steak to the pan and mix well. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Add green onions, salt, and pepper. Stir and serve hot.

  • Substitute beef with chicken or tofu for a different flavor.
