Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • Chocolate shavings for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, beat eggs and add vanilla and water.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients, mixing until smooth.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes, then invert onto a clean kitchen towel.
  9. Roll the cake with the towel and let it cool completely.
  10. Unroll the cake, spread whipped cream, and re-roll.
  11. Frost the outside with more whipped cream and decorate with chocolate shavings.
