Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 cups whipped cream
- Chocolate shavings for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs and add vanilla and water.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, mixing until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes, then invert onto a clean kitchen towel.
- Roll the cake with the towel and let it cool completely.
- Unroll the cake, spread whipped cream, and re-roll.
- Frost the outside with more whipped cream and decorate with chocolate shavings.

- For a gluten-free option, substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free blend.
- Use dairy-free whipped cream for a vegan version.
- You can add coffee to the batter for a richer flavor.
